ARTICLE - COLOMBIA VISIT TO HAITI

THE COLOMBIAN VICE-PRESIDENT, ANGELINO GARZON ON OFFICIAL VISIT TO HAITI

The Colombian Vice-President, Angelino Garzón, and Gen. Oscar Naranjo, Director of the Colombian National Police will be in Haiti this Tuesday for a two-day official visit, in response to the invitation of President Michel Martelly, on March 26.

The purpose of this visit is to strengthen ties between the two countries and identify new avenues of cooperation in the profits of the two nations. Among the topics discussed: the possibility that the Colombian police support their Haitian counterparts, and provide its expertise in the fight against drug trafficking, kidnapping and its support in training and mentoring.

The Prime Minister of Curacao, Gerrit F. Schotte should also be present.
